SIR Dale Kirns’ Knights Joust Event 2011!

It was a beautiful Sunday at the Whittier Narrows Control line circles for the Sir Dale Kirns' Knights Joust event, hosted by the Knights of the Round Circle! There had already been one day of Control Line competition including Old Time Stunt, Beginning Stunt, Classic Stunt and .15 Combat on Saturday but I couldn't make it for both days.

There was a great turn out for the Sunday stunt competitions and I was completely floored how many competitors showed up for the Navy Carrier events! 🙂  I haven't  seen that many Navy Carrier entries at one contest since the early 70ies when I was a kid! The day went great and if you were looking for old time control line kits you really missed out if you couldn't make the contest. There were 2 or 3 tables filled with old style stunt and carrier models! If I wasn't so broke I would have picked up several of them LOL. My only complaint about the whole day would have been that some of the Carrier classes were grouped in a way that made it very hard for the smaller models to compete. Other then that it was the most fun I have had at a Control Line event in years! I didn't have time to collect the results for all of the weekends events but when I get them I will be posting them here. All I have to say is, I can't wait for next year!..
