Starlux Airlines Launches Taipei-Los Angeles Route

Taiwanese carrier Starlux Airlines has put tickets on sale for its much-anticipated new Taipei-Los Angeles route, which will be operated by the airline’s new Airbus A350-900 fleet, featuring four cabin classes including the debut of its first class A350 suites.

The new long-haul service will launch on April 26, initially operating five days a week before increasing to a daily frequency in June. Starlux’s new A350 fleet will serve the Los Angeles route, which has been delayed due to rescheduling.

Starlux introducing its new A350-900

Starlux Airlines recently welcomed its second next-generation Airbus A350-900 widebody following the arrival of its first in October. The widebody jets can seat 306 passengers in a four-class configuration – four in first class, 26 in business class, 36 in premium economy, and 240 in economy class.

The carrier has already put its new planes into service, but its LA route will be the first time travelers can fly in its appealing first-class cabin.

Starlux Airlines announced the first Airbus A350 routes last month, which included two daily flights to Bangkok Suvarnabhumi (BKK) and daily frequencies to Macau (MCM) and Tokyo Narita (NRT). The airline is also keeping an eye on long-haul European connections.

The introduction of Starlux’s new A350 fleet has been long-awaited by aviation enthusiasts, with the airline making waves for its luxurious onboard features, including a first-class private suite that offers travelers more privacy and comfort than ever before.

Flight Schedule and Pricing Details

FlightHacks.com has revealed the pricing for the upcoming TPE-LAX service, with all return tickets ranging from TWD 443,019 ($14,680) for first class to TWD 35,716 ($1,183) for the economy. While the first-class cabin is priced at almost three times a business-class seat, the inaugural flight on April 26 has already seen all four first-class suites sold out.

Starlux Airlines is a relatively new carrier, having only launched in 2020. However, it has quickly made a name in the aviation industry with its luxurious onboard experience and top-notch customer service.

The airline’s entry into the US market will finally be realized following delays. The carrier initially wanted to launch flights in June 2022 before revising to a Q1 2023 date, which itself was pushed back to late April.

Once the route is up and running in late April, Starlux will operate five roundtrips per week from Taipei to Los Angeles until the end of May before increasing the frequency to daily in June.

With its new A350 fleet, top-notch service, and luxurious onboard experience, Starlux Airlines is poised to take the aviation industry by storm and become a major player in the international airline market.
